Course Description

Offered every other year beginning Summer 2013. Over half of patients undergoing treatment for cancer will receive radiation therapy. This course will present concepts, theories, and principles of modern radiation biology with an emphasis placed on the biological consequences of radiation exposure. The physical properties of radiation and how it interacts with biological molecules will be discussed.
