Course Description

This course will familiarize students with Child Welfare Law and Policy, focusing on Arizona, but including looks at other jurisdictions. We will explore questions involving child protection, teenage parents, foster care, child custody, and adoptions. We will look at the sources of and limits on the state's authority to interfere with families in the name of protecting children.
